Quizzes (Fridays)

Quizzes are every Friday except for the weeks with a midterm.

If you miss a quiz...

Rule: If you miss a quiz, you missed it.
Remember that two lowest quiz scores will be dropped and the quizzes will count only 6.6% of the course grade: a missed quiz is not the end of the world.
Exceptions from the Rule are only:
  • You can always take the quiz in my other section.
  • If you cannot make it to any of my sections, I might be able to arrange that you take it another time that day. This is not a promise!!! You need a very good reason, like you can only catch your flight when you take the quiz at 2.40 instead of 3. And you need to take the quiz before I put it on my webpage. And you need to email me a couple of days in advance.
  • If you have a very good reason (meaning it is limited to medical excuse from a physician, funeral of a close relative or similar), I will not count that quiz for you.
  • Earthquakes of Richter magnitude at least 5
